Result BRHC win 4-1

Ben Rhydding started well knowing they needed to keep on winning after a solid performance last week. Rhydding played an excellent passing game, frustrating the LAC defence down the right with Bradwell, Holmes combining to send Wilson off on a mazy run round the back to cross for on-form Hatton to score at close range 1-0. LAC responded with several attcaks and came close. A freehit just outside the 23 resulted in a goal for the opposition 1-1.

On a very cold afternoon, Sutherland who could only play the first half was solid and delivered some telling through balls from midfield linking well with the Dawsons. Roughton provided great pressure by stepping up to the half way line to assist the midfield and Brook ran tirelessly. Ben Blackburn made some desicive tackles with great composure and creating several counterattacks but then conceded several short corners under pressure, However the Rhydding defence was solid.

The second half saw Rhydding press and a move down the right allowing Holmes to cross the ball to Rich Dawson at top D to thump home inside the post leaving the keeper no chance 2-1. A series of great passing moves led to a short corners one of which Roughton fired home inside the other post 3-1.

LAC's young keeper saved several shots in open play enough to give LAC hope but Roughton's distribution was excellent to the wings, midfield and attacking line creating fine opportunities for Rhydding up front as LAC tried in vain to combat well organised Rhydding. Brook, Ray Dawson and Hall had some great triangulation moves and with Hatton's running allowed Rich Dawson at top D to pass to the incoming Brook who duly stepped away from his marker to produce a fine finish 4-1.

Rhydding ran out derserved winners conslodiating their league position.
Man of the Match was given to Roughton with Brook a close second.
