MATCH REPORTS
1st Oct 2005 Lincoln 3*(Away) 1 - 6 loss
HALL A, ELDRIDGE D, HAGGARTY N, HATTON T (1), JERRAM M, JORDAN A, KETTEMAN M, SMITH A, JORDAN J, PITCHER E, SHUTT I,
Although the team got off to a reasonable start, the lack of regular
defenders was soon apparent as Lincoln quickly took the lead. By mid way
through the first half Lincoln had extended their lead despite some good
play by Hatton, Hall and Jerram. Lincoln looked like a strong team keeping
things together and despite our best efforts they were awarded a penalty
flick decision, which was driven home much to the despair of the team.
Rhydding had a somewhat ragged first half but kept battling until half time.

The second half showed an improving performance by Ben Rhydding and an
increased spirit. The ball was passed around with much more confidence and
this play paid off as Tony Hatton scored for Ben Rhydding . This
unfortunately was to be the only goal of the match for Rhydding despite
increased effort and team spirit.
Lincoln pushed ahead scoring more goals and looked a much more organised
team on the day with several subs available for them throughout the match,
making the score 6-1 to Lincoln.
The final result did not reflect the effort and commitment by all the
players especially in the second half.
