9th Feb 2019 Mens 1st v Chapeltown(Away) 4 - 2 win

On a tricky pitch away from home, Rhydding scored early against Chapeltown to confirm their dominance. Myles Locke fizzed an impressive corner away as just rewards for a strong start for Ben Rhydding. However, Chapeltown took the re-start ball and within four passes had equalised. They scored a second within a minute; a flukey touch by a Chapeltown player that then went in the goal. Three goals were scored in 90 seconds before the first five minutes of the game had passed!

Going into the break at 2-1 down, having found no traction, Rhydding changed their tactics and within minutes had claimed the equaliser. Lewis Wild arriving on the overlap, sent a beautiful ball for the ever hungry Callum Franks to deflect for a superb goal. They continued to build on this success and gradually took control of the game, grinding Chapeltown down and scoring two goals in the last five minutes to claim the game. Will Musgrave bulleted a corner home to make it 3-2 and did an action replay for the icing on the cake and a 4-2 win.
