This was the ugliest game that Ben Rhydding�s new pitch has seen to date. Formby clearly had come with a game plan to break down play and be as disruptive as possible and with umpires that gave the benefit of the doubt, they got away with some unsavoury behaviour.
Rhydding had all the possession but did not convert in the early part of the game. It was a travesty that Formby got a corner on the half time whistle and scored to go ahead against the run of play.
Early in the second half, Rhydding scored a superb goal. Running the length of the pitch with electric speed, Charlie Smith tore Formby apart and then got on the end of a deflection to score a brilliant goal to level.
Late on Formby scored a scramble goal which was a very lucky break for them but now Rhydding had to chase the game.
