4th Dec 2021 Mens 1st v Leeds 2(Away) 3 - 1 win

The biting cold did not deter Rhydding from collecting another 3 points to keep them at the top of the Y&NE Premier League. Despite some lazy leading to begin with, Rhydding gained a corner and Callum Franks executed brilliantly to put them ahead after a sluggish 20 minutes. Charlie Smith sparked things up with his relentless electricity supported by impressive midfield intensity. Now Rhydding began to find their flow and began to make good connections and interchange all over the pitch. They had to wait for the second half for the second goal; a well delivered corner from Will Musgrave. Despite Rhydding now looking comfortably in control of the game, a loose ball from Leeds slipped through, catching Rhydding out leading to a goal to get Leeds back in the game. This was short-lived as Rhydding stepped up and finished with another goal; Max Helme picking off a rebound to seal the game at a 3-1 win.
