2nd Nov 2019 Ladies 4th v City of York4(Home) 3 - 1 win

Possibly a little early in the season to talk about a six-pointer but this week's game had all the makings of one..

Both teams were languishing in the lower half of the table, level on points but with York having the superior goal difference. Ben Rhydding were on a run of results the belied the quality of play, in need of a win to stop the rot.

It was a close fought battle with both sides having quality spells with some real end to end play. Ben Rhydding capitalised on a short corner with Betty scoring with a belting strike, swiftly followed by a cracking goal from top d by Daisy. Ella then sneaked a great goal on the counter attack on her first game back this season. The last 20 minutes saw some sustained pressure from York culminating in a goal but thankfully some dogged defending and great keeping from Fran saw Ben Rhydding come out worthy winners. Three points that may prove very important at the end of the season. Thanks to all those who braved the rain to watch the match-you helped spur us on to victory!
