13th Oct 2018 Mens 2nd v Driffield 2(Home) 5 - 1 win

BRHC 2s put in their most comprehensive performance of the season to make the previous league-leaders Driffield 2s look very underwhelming. The sharp passing and hard work off the ball, which was sporadic against Ramgarhia the previous week, meant that Rhydding cut through the Driffield defence.

Controlled pressing from the Rhydding front 5, able supported by Liam Terry and Will McHugh under Danny Foster's direction, left Driffield with few outlets. Their limited counter attacks were shut down by Tom Ibison and Ben Blackburn without trouble.

Ollie Burton kept up his record of scoring in every game this season. Goals from Ryan Dunn and Dan Judkowski, in his final game for Rhydding before heading south, before half-time saw the teams turn-round at 3-0.

Despite looking beaten before the break Driffield rallied during the third quarter and pressed much higher up the pitch. A moment of lost concentration and a counter attack saw the visitors break a score a soft goal. Any hopes of a fight-back were shut down almost immediately as Murgy scored his first of the season.

Rhydding continued to press and MoM Will Bradley added a fifth with two minutes to play. This was a much improved Rhydding performance that saw them leap to the top of Div 2 but they need to be more clinical in front of goal to ensure they stay there.
