20th Oct 2018 Mens 2nd v Wakefield 3(Away) 4 - 0 win

The strong BRHC 2s squad welcomed Giles Flatt for the potentially difficult away trip to Wakefield. His experience complimented the young attacking team who beat Driffield last week.
Wakefield were always going to be strong opponents and they nearly struck after 10mins when a through ball beat the high Rhydding defensive line. Benedikz was beaten by the 2v1 but the Wakefield forward managed to play the ball off his back stick just inches from the line.
Tommy Hagan came roaring off the bench and caused chaos in the Wakefield defence before Jack Sturgeon scored the opening goal. It was his touch from MoM Danny Foster's pass with set up Will Bradley to score with a deft deflection under the keeper.
Wakefield always threatened and at halftime the game was well balanced. Rhydding knew they had to score first and Ryan Dunn delivered a well-deserved goal to steady the game. As Rhydding continued to attack Wakefield were limited to a few counter attacks which were well contained by Tom Ibison and Josh Till.
Late in the game Giles Flatt dropped to centre half and allowed Danny Foster to move to left forward. His fine commanding performance was set off nicely by arriving at the back post in time to juggle in a bouncing ball.
Despite the dominant performance Rhydding still have potential to improve ahead of next weeks home game.
