16th Feb 2019 Mens 2nd v Sheff Univ Bankers 4(Away) 4 - 1 win
This is how hockey should be played. On a beautiful day, at a new pitch and in good spirits against determined opposition.
Good determined hockey marshalled by Bradley at centre-half saw Rhydding cut into Sheffield from the start.
Goals came from unusual sources as Tom Burton opened the scoring before Liam Terry added a second. After halftime Till had a goal disallowed despite his vigorous celebration but made amends by scoring soon after. Powell's tireless work up front saw him rob a goal from nothing as he dispossessed the defender and slotted home.
Sheffield never game up and scored a consolation goal late in the game despite the attentions of Ibison and Ryan at the back.
There was a feeling of relief after the game as Rhydding had managed to pass a stern test to move steadily forward.
