12th Oct 2019 Mens 2nd v City of York4(Home) 9 - 2 win

Rhydding started the game well by having much of the possession within the first 10 minutes, passing the ball round at pace, controlling the game. The first goal came inside of the first 5 minutes; after fizzing the ball round the back, creating space for the decisive pass to be made, penetrating the defence and a deflection passing the goalie. A common theme shone through the first half with Ben Rhydding being on top, dictating the game. Even through Ben Rhyddings dominance, York got a lucky break away goal after one long pass, helped by our defence being caught too high due to our dominance. We finished the first half with a 4-1 lead. Not letting the score line get to our heads we continued to dominate the game in the second half. Scoring five more goals after the break; one of which was a beautifully placed penalty flick going in off the right post allowing Tommy Hagan to complete his hat-rick, and winning a well deserved man of the match. Its about time we put away a penalty flick (Bradders and Kit). To round off a well crafted team performance with a 9-2 scoreline and a perfect way to bounce back from last weeks disappointing result.
