A big performance was needed after two disappointing results.
Yet again we started slowly. Despite having the majority of the possession, 2 fine break aways by Adel, after we gave the ball away cheaply in midfield saw us 2-0 down two thirds of the way through the first half.
That seemed to wake us up and we built up pressure that was eventually rewarded just before the break when Higgitt finished off a fine passing move. In the second half we came out much more aggressively and soon clawed it back to 2-2 with Joe Cussons pouncing on a half-saved short corner. We continued to push and were rewarded with 10 minutes to go when James Hudson managed to score at second attempt from a short corner.
Unlike at 3-2 against Harrogate, we kept the pressure up and could and should have scored another, but most importantly played most of the remainder of the game in Adel's half.
