28th Sep 2019 Mens 3rd v Harrogate�4(Away) 1 - 2 loss
15 minutes in, no goals. Both teams looked evenly matched and both having opportunities to score. Great saves from Josh, keeping us in the game.
27 minutes in and a counter attack caught the defence a little too high up the pitch and Harrogate scored 1-0.
Towards half time Harrogate was looking more to soak up pressure then play counter attack with long crash balls through the midfield to attackers. But strong defence kept them out.
Half time the score was 1-0 to Harrogate but we were still in the game. A couple of minutes into the second half we won a short corner followed by another with a goal from Will, delivered by Richard, catching the Harrogate defence off guard.
The game was starting to open up as both sides tired. Good tackling from Sam, Andrew and Ben in defence. Richard, Zack, Ian and Barney mitigating some of Harrogate's key players in mid field. Harrogate persisted with long ball tactics from the back forcing the forwards Josh, Ewan and Jack to track back making some good tackles.
Again Harrogate caught us on a counter attack and scored bringing the score to 2-1.
Some great chances created by both Ian and Ben but unfortunately the team couldn't finish them off.
Final score. 2-1.
