Everyone knows to get to Lincoln you wouldn’t choose to start from Ben Rhydding but availability was very good (its almost like people have little else they are allowed to do!) and the effort to make the trip was much appreciated. Although the 5-1 margin of victory suggested an easy game for the most part it wasn’t. The superb effort put in to defend and recover possession enabled the 4s to unleash many dangerous attacks. Goals from Hatton (2), Cussons, Locke and Olly Laxton (not James Laxton who instead insists I mention the many assists he was responsible for).
