26th Jan 2019 Mens 5th v Thirsk 3(Away) 0 - 2 loss

A solid 0-2 draw. I say draw, as with some of the recent whoppings the 5ths have endured, 0-2 is as is good as a draw. And, while I'm at it, one of their goals shouldn't have been allowed due to their forward kicking it at least twice. I'm changing the result to a 0-1 win.
Any road, a 4.30 pushback away at Thirsk on a wet and dark January evening, surprisingly only produced 11 Rhydding players?

So it was that 10 fine, capable, skilled, athletic Ben Rhydding warriors, and 1 crap old bloke, took on the 15 players of Thirsk 2nds. We were ace!

Despite the comprehensive pre-match power point presentation and, some say morally dubious yet perfectly legal, 'information gathering visits' to Thirsk's training sessions, Rhydding sadly missed out ☹

The 5ths have invested heavily in technology in order to review individual and team performances so that positive changes can be made to produce better outcomes.
I therefore feel it prudent to reveal the data from this match, so that individuals can reflect on their game. You should be honest with yourselves boys. Can you do anything differently?
The data doesn't lie.

Debate for Man of the Match between, Jonathan and Josiah. Jonathan ran tirelessly, tormenting the oppositions defence, a superb performance. However I'm giving it to Josiah, brave with some wonderful saves, and excellent at cleaning up after the fat bloke in defence kept falling over, giving the ball to the other team and heading the ball.

Well done boys - I'll see three of you at Scarborough next week!
