9th Nov 2019 Mens 5th v Halifax3(Home) 0 - 1 loss

This was a great game of hockey played between two well matched teams. In the end a single goal from a short corner separated the two teams, Halifax returning home the happier.

Ben Rhydding had the better of the first quarter, the wise heads of Mark Kimber and Hugh Lambert worked hard to build the attacks down the right, launching the young legs of Max Bradley up the wing.

The back line of Habin, Jackson, Lambert and Blackburn had a strong game and prevented Halifax having many shots at goal, Pratt mopping up anything the evaded the defence with his usual efficiency.

The midfield and forward line used the substitutions wisely to rest tired legs, Up front Dawson, Tilbook and Harlen found it hard to create clear cut opportunities, and the midfield rotation of Massey, Alexander, Brook, Kimber and Bradley were industrious. With a bit more composure in the D, Ben Rhydding might have found a goal they deserved.
