2nd Apr 2022 Mens 6th v Airevalley 4(Home) 3 - 0 win

A good competitive game played in a good spirit between two youthful sides, whose young players showed plenty skill. Aire valley didn't have a keeper, but used their extra outfield player to good advantage and it took Rhydding a while to adjust. However, a break midway through the first half allowed Dudley to outrun the Valley defence to put Rhydding ahead at half time. In the second half Harlen doubled Rhydding's lead. However, there was still plenty of fight left in Aire valley and the Rhydding midfield of Burgess, Clowes, Wilkinson and Harlen had to work hard to resist the Aire valley's forward drives. Rhydding's defence of Eane, Pratt, Mawson and Smith held strong, despite conceeding a series of short corners, with stand-in keeper Tilbrook making several important interventions. As the game opened up, Rhydding's forward line of Box, Dixon, Edwards and Dudley created a number of chances before Dudley scored his second goal.
