24th Feb 2018 Mens 7th v Harrogate 7(Away) 0 - 13 loss

We shall not dwell on the score line for too long, best to say that the Harrogate boys, generally 3 years older than ours, played some awesome hockey. Keeper and Man of the Match, Seb Dobson made some outstanding saves and was not at fault for any of the goals (No, Seb is not writing this match report!). The Harrogate attack ran rings around the Ben Rhydding defence, with good movement off the ball, to create opportunity after opportunity, plenty to learn about how to mark your opponent.

To their credit the Ben Rhydding boys did not give up, with notable performances from Adam Leather, who made good tackles before leaving the field with an injury, Tom Threlfall was in good positions in midfield to receive the ball out of defence and William Hunt attempted to build attack up the right-hand side.
