Rhydding started extremely well, demonstrating great skills and composure despite coming up against an older side. We held our own for the first 30 minutes in a very balanced game, and then let Slazengers through in the last 5 minutes to let 2 goals in.
The second half was harder; the younger Rhydding team was flagging, and as each Slazengers' goal went in the energy in the team dropped a bit.
Overall there was a lot to be proud of. This was only their second game as a development team, they came up against an older side, they played really well and had two good chances, one of which was cleared off the goal line by a Slazengers defender. This bodes very well for the team as they develop through the year.
