The 3s travelled to Sheffield Hallam with a number of the usual squad unavailable. Debuts were given to Josh Till, Dan Judkowski and Sam Brooksbank. Josh and Dan had made the step up to adult hockey earlier in the season but this was a new level for them.
With both teams safe from relegation but not able to get promoted the priority was to play quality hockey. Sheffield benefitted from two breakaway goals but the 3s had plenty of the game. Josh, Dan and Sam had excellent games, giving the Sheffield defence plenty to deal with. Rhydding ran the home team close with Moyles-Hatfield smacking home a rebound from his own short corner shot.
