Doncaster 3 - Ben Rhydding Men 3
This game was a ding-dong battle at Doncaster which ended all square. Doncaster opened the scoring with Ross McMillan replying for Rhydding just before teh end of the first quarter. There was another goal apiece in the second quarter as new boy Tom O'Toole put Rhydding in the ead before Doncaster replied with a penalty stroke.
There were no goals in the third quarter but plenty of attacking flair from Rhydding. At the other end there was a fantastic goal line save by Harrison Carter in his first National League game that kept the visitors in the game. Rhydding took the lead again in the fourth quarter through another dazzlinggoal by Luke Lambert but with Doncaster replying almost immediately both teams took their first point of the season.
The players were disappointed with just a point but coach, Max Helme, could see plenty to build on as the men trael to Durham University this Sunday.
Sutton Coldfield 5 - Ben Rhydding Women 0
The Ben Rhydding Women had a dificult day away at Sutton Coldfield who were playing in the EH Premier League last season. Zoe Hall performed well in her National League debut but the team will be hoping to put this game behind them as they travel to Pendle Forest on Saturday.
